Created as part of a series of three interrelating oil paintings on linen. The fabric contours distort the painterly stripes like gradients on a map, disappearing and appearing again at an opposed angle, offering movement and change of pace. 

While the three images don't flow into each other and would work equally well as a singular image or a duo, they each have their own sense of space and story while creating an impactful family as a triptych together.
